Area Manager

The ideal candidate for the Area Manager position will oversee and manage 3 spheres, including implementing sales strategy, implementing marketing strategy as well as product and market knowledge. Having extensive sales experience is a must due to the role requiring preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Product will also be a very big part of the role, due to the high standards of ongoing training for the medical representatives that our client will require the candidate to provide. The perfect candidate will also be identifying marketing opportunities along with defining markets, competitor share, strengths, and weaknesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
  • To implement strategies and tactics in order to improve the sales and profitability of the territory in line with the team’s Strategy.
  • To coordinate all business-related subjects with marketing management
  • Give the necessary support to the meetings with geography dealers
  • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities.
  • To ensure up-to-date knowledge of the market drivers, the competition, market positioning, evolutions within the field, etc.
  • Provide high standards of ongoing training for the medical representatives so that they possess sufficient knowledge to present information on the company products in an accurate and balanced manner.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Manager to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and trade shows.
  • Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining markets, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Deliver a monthly detailed report to ensure a smooth communication and information stream.
  • To act as a representative of the company towards any third parties
  • To act and behave as a team player using the appropriate management styles

Qualifications:

  • Min 3 – 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar function
  • Practical knowledge of Sales & Marketing techniques
  • Good working knowledge of English and Arabic (written and spoken)
  • Be a flexible team player, be able to work independently, prioritize own work and, maintain the confidentiality of information

Have a positive attitude and be proactive, have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure and within short time constraints
