The Sales Manager is tasked with orchestrating promotional activities and sales initiatives. This role entails overseeing the implementation of sales strategies to meet and exceed targets. Moreover, the Sales Manager shoulders the responsibility of upholding and managing the sales and marketing objectives specifically tailored for the French-speaking Africa region. This involves devising comprehensive plans, coordinating with diverse stakeholders, and leveraging market insights to drive sustainable growth in the region.

Responsibilities

  • To achieve annual/quarterly sales targets in the sales territory
  • To provide up-to-date sales information in the form of monthly reports with respect of sales territory
  • To plan and communicate a sales strategy monthly and annually to the GM
  • To continually manage the development of new accounts/sales opportunities
  • To further develop and maintain a positive relationship with all our customers
  • To contribute to the further development/implementation of systems that will enable the sales department to become more effective
  • To undertake key account profiling
  • To monitor the market and the competitors
  • To further develop and maintain a positive relationship with all our customers
  • To manage and maintain corporate CRM-based tools
  • To develop and implement sales strategies by determining the relevant factors (e.g., product competition and pricing needs) of existing and potential accounts to effectively promote the company’s products to appropriate customers
  • To sell products by scheduling sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to fulfill revenue and unit growth objectives assigned by the company on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • To create and maintain a network with the KOL
  • To create and maintain a network within the group (especially with the factories, to coordinate the delivery)
  • To help in preparing exhibitions supervised by the group
  • To visit all the relevant exhibitions in EMEA
  • To respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and services by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions
  • To support the company in implementing corporate strategy and processes
  • To develop CAP and follow up closely with the product specialists to apply it
  • To conduct business reviews with the partners on a quarterly base
  • To recruit new partners in the region and present it to the GM for potential cooperation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience in the field of medical devices
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in medical device/capital sales in multinationals
  • Knowledge of regulations and procedures governing the sales of equipment
  • Distributor management experience across the region
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Computer literate in MS Office and CRM
  • To be able to create sales forecasting
  • Interpersonally skilled
  • Written/Oral communication
  • Proactive and methodical approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated
  • Work well with others
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Flexible, diplomatic, and approachable
  • Full valid driving license
  • Willingness to travel over 50% of the working time
