The client approached us following a restructuring, seeking support for 5 laid-off employees to ease their transition back into the job market and help them secure new employment quickly, especially as some had been with the company for over a decade. The company wanted to use outplacement services as part of the severance package.

Challenges

  • Addressing limited market demand for a Regulatory Affairs Manager position (one participant) at the time being.

What We Did & How We Delivered It

Analyzed profiles and created tailored job search plans

We successfully conducted in-depth profile analyses for all five participants, identifying the most effective job search strategies tailored to their unique skills and experiences. Collaboratively, we defined each participant’s career goals and crafted personalized action plans to support their transitions into new roles. We ensured alignment with potential employers’ expectations by highlighting their key soft skills and character traits. Additionally, participants received guidance on identifying relevant industry events and strategically leveraging their professional networks to uncover promising opportunities. This module laid a strong foundation for their successful re-entry into the job market.

Developed custom resumes for all participants

We delivered professionally tailored, ATS-optimized resumes for all five participants, ensuring their job applications stand out. Utilizing industry-approved templates, our Brand Strategist crafted personalized marketing documents in two formats: a text-based DOC for seamless ATS compatibility and a visually appealing PDF for direct applications and interviews. Each resume adhered to current standards and effectively showcased the candidates’ unique qualifications and career highlights, enhancing their appeal to prospective employers. To complement this, the Brand Strategist conducted a hands-on workshop, guiding participants on the most effective ways to use their new resumes during their job searches.

 

Conducted speculative introductions and mapped job opportunities while supporting applications

We delivered a transformative job search strategy for participants. Each received a personalized tracker to select 30 target companies from a comprehensive list of nearly 600 Life Sciences organizations. Leveraging our extensive industry relationships, we facilitated meaningful introductions, uncovered hidden job opportunities, and raised participants’ visibility for future recruitment prospects.

Simultaneously, Career Coaches conducted weekly market tracking, providing ongoing guidance for each application. Over six weeks, we scanned top job portals and company websites to identify relevant roles for participants, monitored the progress of each application, and offered tailored support at every stage. This hands-on, targeted approach significantly enhanced participants’ chances of success in securing new roles.

Held interview preparation workshops and individual sessions

Participants benefited from our extensive experience placing Life Sciences specialists across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe to prepare for successful interviews. Through personalized coaching, an interactive workshop, and scenario-based practice, they developed effective strategies to confidently present their skills and leave a lasting impression. Participants attended a standard workshop and additional coaching sessions tailored to their needs before each official interview. This comprehensive preparation significantly enhanced their readiness and bolstered their prospects for career advancement.

Optimized LinkedIn profiles and conducted a LinkedIn workshop

We successfully empowered participants to leverage LinkedIn for effective job searches and personal branding. Each participant’s profile was completed and optimized to highlight their key advantages, ensuring strong visibility in candidate searches. Through targeted training, participants learned engagement tactics to build authority, strengthen their professional presence, and connect meaningfully within their industry. At the same time, Brand Strategist helped each person develop their brand and content strategies. This enhanced their visibility to recruiters and unlocked new career opportunities, positioning them as competitive candidates in the job market.

Supported contract negotiations and created a slide deck for a participant’s specific recruitment process

We provided participants with customized support to address challenges that arose during the program. For two of them, we offered expert guidance in negotiating favorable contract terms with their new employers, ensuring they secured optimal agreements. Additionally, we assisted another participant with the graphic preparation of a presentation required during a critical stage of their recruitment process. This flexible, personalized approach ensured all participants received the support needed to navigate their unique situations successfully.
