In this role as Lead Accountant & Reporting, you will directly report to the company GM and functional to the regional CFO based in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Leading SAP ERP implementation project for a newly established company that will serve the UAE home appliances market
• Responsible for month-end closing procedures, financial reports, and financial planning processes
• Leading an outsourced accounting team for day-to-day bookkeeping in SAP
• Accurate and timely preparation of internal and headquarters reports in coordination with a regional office
• Responsible for bank payments, payroll (including monthly accrual calculations), expense claims, and fixed asset management
• Responsible for financial audit and tax processes, coordinating employment-related tasks with regional HR based in Turkey
• Close follow-up of receivables collection from retailers and construction project developers
• Working closely with supply chain and sales functions to optimize the P&L of the company
• Ensure compliance with group procedures and local regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance/Accounting or related fields
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting and reporting
• Strong accounting and SAP FI knowledge and experience is required
• Strong MS Office skills especially in MS Excel
• Hyperion knowledge and experience will be a plus
• Multinational company and/or retail business experience will be a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively, analytical thinking, result-oriented
