We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client’s team. Responsibilities include posting financial transactions, reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and monthly/annual accounting close. Responsibilities

  • Carry out the posting of income, expenses, purchases, sales, inventory, movements to accounting module, bank reconciliations, balance sheet review, clearing of accounts, calculation of depreciation and amortization of fixed assets, and monthly and annual accounting close.
  • Calculate monthly and annual sales, and file monthly and annual reports to relevant authorities as needed. Comply with Free Zone statutory requirements.
  • Review aging of accounts receivable and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments.
  • Prepare reports for Corporate Accounting (financial statements, sales report, cost per product line, sales report per seller, department expenses, customers portfolio).
  • Follow accounting policies, keep records of suppliers’ contracts, and file documents for transportation equipment.
  • Calculate and pay commissions, bonuses, incentives, and other compensations to Sales Representatives as required.
  • Check customer’s credit limit, exposure, and availability before new sales orders are processed, or communicate with Sales Reps accordingly in case of credit blocks.
  • Review customers’ financials, establish credit lines, and evaluate letters of credit vs. cash in advance. Manage letters of credit and all related communications with banks.
  • Coordinate annual financial audit with external auditors, provide auditors requirements, and comply with audit deadlines.
  • Keep journal entries up-to-date and send over month-end files to management for review before submission to Corporate Accounting.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs for vendors, creditors, payroll, and employee reimbursements.

Job Requirements

  • Fluent Turkish is a must requirement.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Accounting/finance or business administration or related field.
  • Experience in accounting and finance tasks.
  • Experienced user of SAP.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office, specially Excel.
  • Patient and friendly personality.
  • They must be a good team player.
  • Should have good time-management skills.
