The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing the invoicing process and overseeing accounts receivable functions.  This role ensures timely billing, accurate record-keeping, and efficient collections, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Accounting Specialist – Job Responsibilities:

Invoicing

• Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy of billing information, including pricing, quantities, and terms.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues promptly.

Accounts Receivable Management

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with clients.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate customer account setup and updates.

Collections

• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email, or in person to negotiate payment arrangements.
• Escalate collection issues to management as necessary.

Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and cash flow forecasts.
• Analyze trends in receivables and suggest improvements to processes.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations regarding invoicing and collections.
• Maintain documentation related to invoicing, collections, and customer communications.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the finance team to support month-end closing processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to receivables.

Accounting Specialist – Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
• Experience in a similar role will be an advantage
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP (especially pricing-related transactions)  
• Outstanding interpersonal skills  
• Strong commitment to achieving results 
• Display sound judgment, professionalism, credibility, and discretion 
• Excellent English & Arabic (written and spoken)
