National Sales Manager - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Agnieszka Bednarz

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for sales in the Saudi Arabian market alongside the Profit & Loss responsibility. The National Sales Manager is authorized and obligated to pursue the optimal business outcome for the company in the geographic area under the overall strategies and policies laid down by the corporation.

Responsibilities

Developing Business Plans for the KSA

  • The National Sales Manager sets objectives for the area and individuals
  • Assign the individuals to territories and responsibilities
  • Jointly responsible with the regional team for the development and management of annual sales and expenses forecast
  • Contributes to the development of company strategies and helps in running market studies and research to identify business opportunities
  • Conduct quarterly variance analysis to identify changes in market conditions that would lead to favorable/unfavorable variance to budget forecast
  • Propose plans for manpower expansion.

Managing Fieldforce Activities in the KSA

With the Team:

  • The National Sales Manager communicates effectively the company objectives, strategies, tactics, and decisions to the field force
  • Plans, prepares, and conducts regular sales meetings
  • Help the District Managers develop a territory work plan that assures frequent contact of high potential customers
  • Jointly responsible with the regional team to develop tools that will help the field force select, classify, and target them properly
  • Ensures the team is implementing proper tactical actions that are consistent with the company strategies
  • Monitors and approves expenses

With Distributors:

  • Check stocks regularly and work with the Distributor to ensure the availability of goods for expected sales
  • Follow up proper coverage to all territories and proper delivery of goods
  • Follow up the regulatory affairs tasks accomplished by distributors and support by the Regional regulatory affairs manager

With Customers:

  • Jointly responsible with the regional marketing team to plan for major events (exhibitions, conferences, training, etc.)
  • Create a positive image for the business among stakeholders and build valuable relationships with KOLs
  • Set up discounts, allowances, and special credits that are consistent with the company policies

Hires, Develops, Motivates, and Evaluates the Team

  • Seeks, selects, and contacts suitable candidates to cover vacancies
  • Provides continuous training for the team to improve their scientific knowledge, skills’ compliance, and attitudes
  • Creates a favorable working atmosphere that motivates the team to accomplish their objectives and creates a desire to excel among them
  • Exerts authority over the team, including rewarding, discipline, and working over their interests
  • Set up standards of performance for the different individuals and help develop report formats
  • Conducts regular appraisals to assess the team’s performance, detect their strengths and weaknesses, and train them on the job
  • Recommends promotions, dismissals, and transfers for individuals

Responsible for the Records System for the KSA

  • The National Sales Manager maintains a record system to provide a quick analysis of the performance of sales and expenses
  • Maintains the field force reporting system to ensure proper time and resource utilization
  • Develop and update the customer database
  • Provides regular reports for the company on activities, sales versus target, expenses versus budget, and market feedback
  • Provides information about competition, customers, and market trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales in the Pharmaceutical industry within a multinational organization
  • Strong people management experience
  • Fluency in Arabic & English
  • Proven track record of success in identifying and executing business opportunities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and the competitive landscape
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business development software
